Space assigned by web hosting company for storage of website. Usually includes space for email and database.

Windows Hosting Vs Linux Hosting
Server can be based on Windows server, or Linux server with Apache. Generally Linux server has better support with PHP whereas Windows server is better supporting ASP.

Webmail Vs Email Client
Emails can be accessed via a web interface or downloaded via email clients eg. Outlook or Eudora

Control Panel
A web hosting account comes with control panel eg. Plesk or cPanel. This control interface assigns email accounts, FTP users and file access permissions etc.

Domain Name
The "address" or URL of a particular Web site. Internet users access your website using your domain name.

SSL Security Service Layer (Security Certificate)
SSL works by using a private key to encrypt data that's transferred over the SSL connection. A must-have for online transaction.

E-Commerce
Electric commerce: the conducting of business communication and transactions over networks and through computers.

Shopping Cart
A shopping cart is a piece of software that acts as an online store's catalog and ordering process.

CMS (Content Management System)
A content management system (CMS) is a system used to manage the content of a Web site. Typically used for larger corporate websites.

Blog
Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is a journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption.
